	Presently I am working as Project Consultant, Deptt. of Hydro and Renewable Energy, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. Also, engaged as Professor (Adjunct) at Department of Civil Engineering, Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun, India. I have over 26 years of experience in teaching, research and consultancy. I got my PhD from University of Roorkee (Now Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee in the year 1999. My key area of specialization is in Engineering geological investigations for hydro power projects  – storage, ROR and Pumped Hydro power schemes and Geo-Environment; Geo hazard evaluation and risk assessment - slope stability studies, landslide hazard evaluation and mitigation. I have worked for 18 years (2003 to 2021) as Associate/ Assistant professor in Engineering Geology with Department of Earth Sciences, Addis ababa University, Ethiopia. I have teaching experience in all major Post Graduate (MSc & PhD) courses in Engineering Geology. I have advised 92 MSc Thesis and 3 PhD research works in Engineering Geology, Urban Geology, Geo Hazards, Environmental Geology and Remote Sensing & GIS Streams. I have published nuumber of research papers in referred Journals, and articles published as chapters in books and many other were presented in Conferences and Symposia. I am Reviewer’s Panel/ Editorial Board Member for number of international  and national Journals and co-editor for a Newsletter. I have also authored a book. I have worked for many consultancy and research projects in the area of hydro power, Geo-environment and foundation studies. I have been engaged in site selection, investigations and design at pre-feasibility and detailed design phases. I have also been engaged as an expert for engineering geological and geotechnical review of DPR for hydro power projects. I have worked as an Expert team member of Technical working group for Ethiopian Roads Authority. I have provided services as Advisor to Ethiopian Engineering Geologists Association (EEGA). I am also working for Department of Hydro and Renewal Energy (HRED)  and providing my services for DPR review and investigation, mainly for hydro power projects. I have also worked as an Expert in Panel for natural disasters and other challenging problems in Uttarakhand, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Uttarakhand, India.
